I’m Sam Murrell, also working under the alias, ‘Krownjester’!

I’m a Toronto-based animator and storyboard artist, with a passion for making things move and speak. Yes, that’s right… I love lipsyncing!!! (This guy really IS crazy…) I also love style-matching, so my personal art style is always changing…

Growing up, I constantly was writing short stories and comics, not to mention drawing in the margins of my homework every day. Not only that, I spent all of my formative years studying theatre and film, originally planning to try and be a film director. I love bringing theory from the stage to the 2D-screen!

I have a strong affinity for anything 80s-90s, especially old technology. I collect vinyls, cassettes, VHS, polaroids… I even style my hair vaguely 80s-ish (at least, my Mom says I look like an 80s actor… and we trust my Mom, right?)

I love anything paranormal/supernatural, and even ghost hunt in my spare time. It ties in nicely to the darker but goofy media I consume and work to create!
